So, me and my wife just ordered a few shirts and baby outfits from Cafe Press.

Much to my surprise they sent me two shirts each of the "Team Saiga (when the zombies come, whats in your closet) and "Guns don't kill people, Daddys with pretty daughters do.

I only ordered 1 each, and they only sent one each of the other shirts/outfits we ordered.

Go Cafe Press :)

Well, Cafe Press itself isn't really pro-rights or anti-rights, near as I can tell. You'll find t-shirts that range from "Molon Labe" to "Million Mom March."

It is the best place in the `verse to get Firefly/Serenity stuff, which is possibly the most pro-RKBA television show that ever aired.

Just this week I got a bunch of RKBA and 2nd Amendment stickers to put on my toolbox at work. Ordered them all from cafepress. Cafepress has one heck of a selection. You could spend a week going through all that crap!

I don't know about CafePress, but I agree that we definitely need some better taco control laws. I mean anyone can just go to a food court and order as many tacos as they want with no background checks, no cool down period, its just madness. Think of the chilli's,... I mean chilldrins! :uhoh:

CafePress is Pro-money-- like any other business.

For those that are unfamiliar with how Cafepress works, they are basically a manufacturing and clearing company for small artistic companies that design the merchandise.

If I understand correctly their business plan, companies that they partner with come up with the designs but cafepress makes the items and sells them. They take a part of the proceeds and the other company that came up with the idea takes some.

Now that said, CafePress DOES have some guidelines as to what is appropriate and what is not:

General Guidelines for Prohibited Content

Content that may infringe on the rights of a third a party.
Items that make inappropriate use of Nazi symbols and glamorize the actions of Hitler.
Use of marks that signify hate towards another group of people.
Hate and/or racist terms.
Inappropriate content or nudity that is not artistic in nature.
Content that exploits images or the likeness of minors.
Obscene and vulgar comments and offensive remarks that harass, threaten, defame or abuse others such as F*** (Ethnic Group).
Content that depicts violence, is obscene, abusive, fraudulent or threatening such as an image of a murder victim, morgue shots, promotion of suicide, etc.
Content that glamorizes the use of "hard core" illegal substance and drugs such as a person injecting a vial of a substance in their body.
Material that is generally offensive or in bad taste, as determined by CafePress.com.
The list outlined above should NOT be construed as an exhaustive list of offensive material but rather as a general guideline for you to follow.

A couple weeks ago, I complained that the following "company" working with CafePress has broken the above outlined rules based on some of their designs by suggesting and even advocating/encouraging violence against hunters:

http://www.cafepress.com/standforanimals

This design is the one that particularly caught my attention:

http://www.cafepress.com/standforanimals/3082579

Of course, Cafepress sent me a form-letter e-mail stating that they are looking into it. As I see tonight, I suppose they aren't looking too hard.

EDIT: I just found thier toll-free number and they are still open. This should be fun. BTW, It is

Toll Free 1-877-809-1659

Monday – Saturday
9am – 9pm EST

So you believe a tshirt is going to make people violent? I have seen many anti hippy, anti liberal, and anti muslim remarks here yet you contribute here. So your ok with violence against those you dont care for but when it comes to you, you choose to get into an uproar.

Cafepress is just a tshirt company. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Absolutely not. I think that you haven't yet gotten me. We've discussed a number of issues in the past, and have often found differing sides-- which is fine. But let me elaborate, if I may.

Do I think a T-shirt is going to cause a person to take a course of action? Of course not-- or should I say that I should hope not.

Have I seen Anti- [fill-in-the-blank] comments here? Sure. I've also seen a lot of the opposite as well.

Regardless of my personal feelings regarding any of those comments-- one way or the other-- they are out there. I contribute to this board because this is one of the more rational boards I have experienced. As of yet, I have failed to see anything that damns THR or its members to an unredeemable status with me.

I CHALLENGE YOU to show me where *I* have expressed that I am OK with violence against innocent people of a group that I may not like. Hell, I challenge you to explain to me what groups exactly that I "don't care for." I will qualify this by saying that a group CAN become one that I don't care for. But this is through an active effort, not something passive like being different from me. By active, I mean taking specifically taking actions that have aligned themselves in an opposing manner. And I apply this to individuals and/or action-oriented organizations-- not ethnic, religious, ect. groups.

Now here is where I think you missed the point of serveral posts I've made here:

Either EVERYTHING is OK, or NOTHING is OK.

Certain things are PC to say or think in our society and change the groups involved and it is a social/economical/professional act of suicide.

I would encourage you to read Larry Elder's Ten Things That You Can't Say In America if you suspect that I am imaging this.

My contention is that we have NO business in the "Thought Police" business-- especially when the rules change with the circumstances. Consistency, my friend.

I pointed out to CafePress that they ALLOWED this communication to continue in defiance to their own TOS. I feel that if THAT particular TOS violation is allowed to continue, then NONE can be ethically enforced.

I think that perhaps your personal feelings on this particular issue-- or maybe regarding me-- have colored your view on this.

Actually, anyone can sign up for Cafepress. My sister took pictures of her dog and uploaded the pictures so she can make mugs, t-shirts, bags with her dog picture on them.

Oleg could upload his pics and make mugs, stickers, thong underwear, etc...anyone can sign up.
