Can I be buried with my pistol?

Why not? I saw a newspaper article about a guy who was buried in his Corvette. I hope you have a long time before you meet your maker. However, please make sure your affairs are in order at all times. We just buried a 31 year old cousin. He died of liver cancer. Just 26 days between diagnosis and the cemetary.:(

Mike, you got hiking boots?

I do. :D

To borrow from a sadly overused phrase: "The ULTIMATE 97 year-old autoloading rifle. You know it, you FEAR it, you love it."

Actually, I plan to be buried with my .45 and my Randall Model 14 bowie knife. I don't know where I'm going, but I plan to have both hands full when I get there.

Two possibilities. One way, you won't need it. The other, it won't do you any good.

If you are buried with a gun and ammo, aren't you actually being cached?

Maybe this is the origin of the term "caching out"!

Finally, when it's your time, let Charles Schumer know-he'll probably be happy to bury THOUSANDS of guns with you!

It's OK with me.

Re:bureaucracy, I'd do my homework, and if local regs get in the way, do Plan B with someone (fellow Viking?) you trust to 'pack' you away properly. Don't ask, don't tell:D :neener:

Personally, I've asked to be cremated and my ashes spread over an oysterbed in the Chesapeake, I figure it's my last, best chance to be a 'pearl of a guy'.
