Does any one carry old pistols?

My wife carried a HsC for a long time, its eagle marked and has two swastika's on it, so its at least 65 or so years old. It never failed to go bang.

My daily carry is a pre 70 series Colt's Combat Commander.

I've been packing this 1964 M40 all week.

I used to carry this 1957 .357 Magnum regularly.

And I've gotten real silly and carried this 1938 Registered Magnum a few times.

Old enough?

Basically the only two guns I ever carry are a WWI era S&W 1917 (old by anybody's standards) and a Bauer .25 (kinda old, at least). I want to get a S&W model 36 to fill the gaping performance gap between my carry guns, and that will probably be vintage, too.

The oldest design I've ever "carried" was a 1858 Remington cap & ball repro revolver that I kept in my vehicle when I was too young to buy a "real" handgun.

Ha! Same here. Except I actually carried the monster. Usually concealed at that. I really appreciate smaller guns now.

I carry a late 60's Detective Special with a bobbed hammer and red ramped front sight; not a hack job, it was done well. When I bought it, it already had considerable carry wear but was mechanically excellent and it shoots great. Most people I show it too ogle it quite a bit.

I load it with Federal low recoil .38spl hollowpoints.
