So I think I accidentally pulled the trigger when the gun was field stripped, and the hammer didn't land on the firing pin, but swang all the way forward.

Can this damage the trigger mechanism on a Ruger LCP or Keltec P32 / P3AT? I mean everything works fine, but I was just wondering.

Also, I notived that when I pull the trigger on the LCP, it (the hammer or the mechanism around it) clicks right when it starts moving backwards.

Thanks!

Well, I just called a Ruger tech in AZ, and he said that it COULD, but if i only did it once, and it works fine, then I should be OK. Aparently the hammer or the hammer catch could get busted from doing that.

Oh, and the clicking is normal.
