Yup, passed fine--the writin tests here are getting pretty tricky, but I did ok.

It was pretty cold out side when we shot, about 28 degress--I can do better when it is warmer:)

For my class, the standard for passing was so low, it didn't matter I got 247/250. They made it too easy. Half the class should have been failed and forced to take the test again.

Funny thing today. I went to do my range qualifcation for my Florida permit. 50 rounds at a B-27 target at 10 yards. After 30 rounds of 9mm, there was a 2 inch hole where the red X was. I turned to the instructor an asked him what I should do as there was nothing left to score hits on. I ended up telling him I was just gonna go for neck shots and put the next 20 rounds there. What really pissed me off was he only gave me a 98% because he does not give 100%

So if you put 50 individual holes inside the 9 ring he would still only give you a 98?
My original thought when I stopped was that he might want to put up another target so he could see that I was indeed hittig the target instead of me shooting thru a hole in the center. Frankly, if someone can not pass the range portion easily, they probibly need to spend ALOT more time at the range!

Walk into the sheriff's office, plunk down 10 bucks, fill out an application and away ya go. That's for an initial issue. Renewal is just as easy, show the old one, walk in, plunk down ten, and away ya go for 5 more years. Who needs classroom and range tests?
