I carry

in Connecticut. I don't drink alcohol anymore. I gave it up years ago but,,, my girlfriend has an occaisional drink, so I escort her to the local watering hole once a month or so. A good friend of ours bounces there once in a while and he carries as well. Carrying is legal in Connecticut if not over .08

IN Missouri there is the clause about 51%, but there is a cute little phrase "unless the owner allows it". Or something to that effect. I have two bars in my area. One I have the permission(small out in the country type bar) , the other (in town) I don't carry and haven't even asked.

When I carry, I don't drink. I have reached the age where it is fun to remember my escapdes with Budweiser rather than relive them. I only drink a beer or three when I am at home and the gun is put up.

Here in Florida we can not carry in establishments, or areas of an establishment, whose primary source of business is serving alcohol. That means no carry in bars but restaurants that serve alcohol are ok as long as you aren't sitting at the actual bar section of the restaurant.

No bar carry in California. You can carry in a restaurant that serves alcohol, but you had better not be drinking yourself.

Just to clarify my post:

It's legal but I don't go to bars so I don't worry if I can or can't :) .

But, like P95 stated, I would hope that those who can, don't if they have been or will be drinking.

In Missouri, according to my instructor, who helped craft the legislation, and who throws one helluva BBQ, the basic rule is that you cannot carry a loaded firearm while intoxicated. There is no stipulation of the degree of intoxication. They left it open. One sip, and you could be judged as impaired.

That's a felony.

However, it's only a misdemeanor to carry unloaded, and a magazine in your pocket...

Legal in NH

I hate to say but alot of the "NEW" carry States have very screwed up laws on carry.
