I'm wondering if those of you who have concealed carry permits generally carry additional paperwork with your permit, such as information on reciprocity or carrying in different places.

For example, I know that some people print out info from packing.org right before traveling across the state.

Anyone carry extra paperwork or is the permit enough?

Bac, usually just my DL. Cops like to see that.:D Copy of Form 4 if applicable.

When traveling in other states, I always have a copy of the reciprocity statute with me, just in case. When friends come to see me, I send them a copy of Indiana's universal reciprocity statute.

Have had any problems, but I seem to live charmed life of some sorts.:uhoh:

NY doesn't have reciprocity with any other states, so unless I have a non-resident permit in the state I am going to, the handguns stay at home.

Knowing which States recognize you permit is always a good idea, especially if you are traveling. Another good idea is to carry some sort document, store receipt, or other paper that proves you own the gun you are carrying - just in case. If it is a large document, you can have it miniaturized to fit the ID wallet together with your CCW permit. Just a thought.

MN requires you to carry your DL with your CHL when carrying. I also carry the number of my trainer - his company has a service whereby, if you are involved in a shooting, you can call this number anytime and they will set you up with a lawyer right away.
