Change of feature in Centerpoint scopes sold at Walmart...good, bad or no consequence?

weren't a lot of Eotechs junk and they were forced to send the money back to the buyers?
how do you feel about GM taking most of the bailout money which isn't paid back and setting up shop in china and mexico or Harley taking bailout money in 83 now moving to either india or china. what about 99% of scope makers using Japanese lenses? every chevy truck I had up to the 90's was made in Canada. every Japanese car or truck I had was made in the US. many US companies moved offshore and in a matter of a few weeks including ford stopped a few more moving offshore.
supporting US workers just doesn't work out to well these days because of the greed of big companies

The Eotech weakness is short battery life and a possible zero shift in intense cold, not issues that affect my use on .22 rifles. For a .22 it's a superb optic with non-critical eye relief, a large field of view and a fine 1 moa reticle for aiming. They may not be perfect but many gave yeoman service in a lot of harsh military and LEO use. They also stood behind the product and have issued a heck of a lot of money in refunds.

As far as Government Motors, I refuse to buy them and have long before they sold out to Obama. My last three vehicles have been made in the USA Hondas, two CRV's and a Pilot. If I buy a new vehicle it'll almost certainly be another Honda or possibly a Toyota. Harley's don't especially thrill me, my bike is a 1980's BMW that was a gift. No problem with Japanese optics, they at least are a non-communist, democratic country that is friendly to the US. They also make superb products, particularly in optics.

No offense meant here, but you sure seem to have quite a chip on your shoulder about anyone who disagree's with you on this subject regardless of the reason. You seem to believe that anyone that prefers to buy higher-end optics is basically an idiot who is getting ripped off because all company's that provide them are greedy no-good scumbags, doubly so if they are big, no exceptions. and if they have the gaul to offer a no questions asked unconditional warranty if can only be because they grossly overcharge upfront. It can't be that they make a high quality product that is so well made that it has a very low failure rate, so they can well afford to offer this level of customer service because it has huge benefits in customer satisfaction and is so well known and approved of by the folks that buy their type of product that it has become an asset in increasing sales.

I never attacked anyone just gave my opinion. all I ever heard about leupold scopes is about their warranty and guys sending in 30 year old scopes and getting new ones. their "generous" warranty is built into the price only way they can stay in business giving away new scopes in exchange for 30 year old ones. is that really so hard to understand? that is all I am saying. it is amazing when someone says I attack people then proceed to attack me which more then 2 guys have done

You have not been attacked. It's not just that we disagree with you but you have made many comments here that are simply not congruent with reality and it's very obvious that you have a very significant chip on your shoulder. You believe a lot of crap that just isn't true and I'm not surprised at all that you would perceive this disagreement as a personal attack.

Now let me get this straight. We are to believe that you are smart enough to have figured out that cheap stuff is just as good as more expensive products, yet you're not smart enough to have figured out a way to make enough money to afford them. Yet, those who are smart enough to have figured out a way to make significantly more money than you are otherwise idiots who buy into marketing hype and are simply fools easily parted from their money? You've done a whole lot of mental maneuvering to make yourself feel better about your choices.

As I said, Leupold is a whole lot more than juts a warranty and the reasoning you present is simply nonsense.

Yes, I'm pretty sure we've all looked at various scopes and binoculars and compared them. I don't agree with your assessment at all. I could easily buy $2000 binocular but I just can't justify it for my purposes. My $400 Leupolds work just fine. Unlike yourself, I don't have to hate something that costs more than I'm willing to spend.

I had a framing crew for 35 years built houses on the side and own 2 houses no mortgages on either and buying a third. I was working before you were born. you come off as an elitist who looks down on people with less then you. got plenty of money to buy what I want. I spend a big amount of money to make money not to make millionaires richer. that is my choice.
you still have not commented on the kilo rangefinder at $300- $450 that is better then the 2K-3K leicas etc. or commented on the leatherwood red dot for $239 more durable with more battery life in torture tests then the 800 dollar aimpoint.

That sig range finder is a rip off. Those shysters. Probably just buying their name.
Academy has a bsa on sale for $69 that's just as good.

There it is again, that big, fat chip on your shoulder. It's hindering your view of reality. The reason you don't have more than you do is right there between your ears. Your attitude really, really sucks.

Age has nothing to do with it and you couldn't be more wrong. I guess you missed the part about buying my first Leupold while making $10/hr as a field tech? I am and will always be the son of a construction worker. Mother was a dispatcher for the wildlife agency. I have worked for everything I have, which includes 10yrs as a communications field tech and a self employed IT consultant over the last 12yrs working 365 days a year until about six months ago. So you can take your generalizations and prejudices elsewhere. I don't live debt free because I'm "elitist" and have piles of free money laying around. I'm debt free because I work every day that rolls and make wise choices with my money.

I make no comments about things I don't know about, such as rangefinders and Leatherwood red dots. I do have a Leupold rangefinder and an Aimpoint on my AR so I guess I'm one of those rich morons you're blathering about.

That BSA for $69 is the exact same one as the $2.5K Leica. BSA makes it for Leica and puts the Leica name on it. you are very observant

I would have bet a billion dollars you were going to say you worked 365 days a year for a long time. easy as pie to predict.
craig I got more then I need . do not need more money. have some one read your post to you then tell me who is the with attitude

So anything posted that you don't agree with you're going to call someone a liar? Let's see how far that takes you.

I left my last field job January 7th, 2004. Been self-employed ever since and worked without a day off (except three days in the hospital in 2009) until last June. I finally have enough help to get 2 days off a week, in the middle of the week. Believe it or not, I don't fit your "elitist" stereotype. If your reality requires you to be the hardest working, most downtrodden and self-righteous person in the room, that's your problem, not mine.

lol remember if your generation were such hard workers there would not be 20 million Mexicans here

Archie Bunker, is that you? That chip's even bigger than I thought! Who's attacking who now? Now you're just being a troll. I can't speak for my generation any more than you can speak for yours.
