Anyone ever had this error before?

I loaded up rounds last weekend. Hadnt been at the reloading bench since.
Went to load up some rounds and bam. this error shows up.
I cant get past it. It wont let me calibrate, zero, nada.

Ive used my google fu this morning and not much came up.
I suspect it might be a call to RCBS unless someone can help me out.

thanks

The Chargemaster Combo or just the Chargemaster 1500 scale alone?

I looked this up online and found that RCBS knows there is a problem. One guy was told to send it back and he got a new one (they asked him for money, but I'd try to get that on the house --Glock tried to get me to cover shipping too and I said uh-uh and they gave me an acct. #). Anyway, they sent him a new one without trying to fix the old one.

Another guy said he just played with it, turned it on the next day, and it worked. I had something, but I can't recall what it was and cleared up fast.

You'd think they'd at least have a list with all the error codes on it and could provide us with that, you know?

Interested how this turns out, please advise. Looks like several folks have had this problem, went online to address it, and then disappeared. You could be the first to actually tell how to address it. So I'm assuming it either worked out or they had to send it in.

I'd sure like to know since I just got one of these too. Since I do everything single stage, it really speeds up my process and I just love it. Faster, but I don't have to sacrifice how I do things. Works great (better really) with flake powders like 800x and Blue Dot.

You have separated the balance from the dispenser?
Leave the balance unplugged over night and come back to the balance and see.
Have you ever turned the unit, with the balance attached, upside down or shaken it?
Hopefully, if you are over the warranty period and have to send it back, you can just ship the balance if that is the problem.
I have one of the very first units and have had no problems, knock on wood...

I dont have it separated now, but i did do it earlier today for troubleshooting purposes.

I have turned the unit with the balance attached. every time i empty the dispenser.
It wasnt upside down until today when i was getting to the feet to detach the bars to separate the units.

Those automatic dispensers sure are a time saver.

The kind of gear that a guy can feel really confident in when dispensing propellants.

(food for thought)

chargemaster

I had a problem with mine last winter. It was out of warranty, but RCBS replaced it with a new one for $45.00. If I remember right, I took it back to Scheels and they sent the old one back to RCBS for me, with there shipment. Turn around was close to a month.

I bought it less than a year ago but cant find my receipt. So it looks like it will be 45.00.
They weren't able to tell me what the error was other than internal. which is vague at best. So i submitted an email request asking for more details.
