It is still the Hungarian FEG come back to haunt the unsuspecting under another trade name.
Caveat Emptor.
FEG no longer makes guns. They are assembled by Dan Wesson, but the parts are made by someone else. Machining is kind of rough and the trigger is rough as well.
FEG still makes guns. (Though it looks as though we don't import them assembled.)
FEG also makes all the parts for Charles Daley, which are then assembled in the US.
The biggest complaint about the CD HP has been the large logo on the slide and the unusual night sights. The CD is a true clone with all parts compatible with FN or Browning military models. Also the price has almost doubled compared to ten years ago... buthey that'sinflation and supply and demand for ya.
The new models I've seen have far better fit and finish than the old PJk9HP clone I have.
I've got a lot of rounds through mine. The bluing isn't holding up as well as Colt/Browning/Ruger but it shoots just fine.
I got to play with one in a local store. I have to tell you, I think it was the grittiest trigger that I ever felt. That and the mag disconnect alone put me off.
I looked at one and then a slightly used Browning - The Browning was a lot nicer and just a bit more money. Took the Browning home , left the CD behind.
