*** MASSIVE, Bulk Handgun And Rifle Bullet Buy!! ***
REMINDER: This is not ammunition...these bullets are for reloading only - they're the projectiles.
First: Please forgive me at this has been posted on www.vaguntrader.com for about (2) weeks now. The post is a mostly a copy / paste from there.
Ok...so by popular demand, I called Berry's today to discuss shipping cost. We are currently at 6,552 lbs. (25 JUN 2012) but she used 10,000 lbs. as a safe number. The shipping for 10,000 lbs. would be $1,126. With that said, here some shipping rates of some popular calibers / bullets:
- 9mm, 115 GR RN: $2.84 / 1000
- 9mm, 147 GR RN: $3.62 / 1000
- .38, 158 GR RN: $3.89 / 1000
- .40, 180 GR RN: $4.43 / 1000
- .45, 230 GR RN: $5.29 / 1000
Note that the numbers above are also guaranteed to go down as the orders keep coming in. I plugged in the $1,126 into the spreadsheet using only the purchases that we have up to this point to get the shipping costs above. I.E. More orders will spread out the cost of this shipping. Further, the quote that she did today will also go down further. She did this as a maximum rate (based on the 10k lbs) and they are in the process of going to get a quote for shipping it by the pallet.
WE'RE NOW AT THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE, SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY BOOOOOOLITS FOLKS!!!! 335,750!!!! WE'RE ALMOST TO 400,000!!!!
THIS ORDER IS FOR BERRY'S BULLETS - AT INSANE PRICES!!!
IF YOU DON'T SEE IT HERE, THEY DON'T OFFER IT IN BULK PRICING BUT YOU CAN STILL ORDER IT - JUST GET THE INFO FROM THEIR WEBSITE.
I've been getting a lot of questions regarding the timeline so I post the following chronology for this:
- This will close either on 14 JUL 2012 or when we get to 500,000 bullets - whichever comes FIRST.
- Assuming 14 JUL at the latest: I'll freeze the orders and give the final order to Berry's for them to calculate a freight charge - This should come back around 18 - 19 JUL.
- I'll then send an email out to everyone with your final payment amounts (all of your email addresses will be hidden for privacy purposes). You will have 14 days from the day of this email being sent to get me your money. The preferred method of payment being personal check, cashier's check, or postal money order and delivery VIA the Postal Service. For those that don't have me their money by the 14th day, your order will not be placed.
- The next business day I'll send the order and payment to Berry's. This will be on or before 30 JUL 2012.
- In talking to them the order will take approximately 2 weeks to fill and ship out.
- The best I can tell at this point the orders will arrive around 17 AUG 2012. From there, SORTFEST 2012 will commence at my place with the help of several members from vaguntrader.
- From there, all of the bullets will be mailed out.
PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE...Take the time to read (and digest) this entire post.
PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE...Keep in mind that I will be having to manage a MASSIVE quantity of bullets here.
There are (3) prices listed on the pictures (tables): we're getting the DISTRIBUTOR column. If we get to 400,000 bullets, we'll get the OEM pricing!!!
HOW TO ORDER:
- Please do not PM me your order, just look at the attached pictures (tables) and reply to this thread with:
--> CALIBER
--> WEIGHT / TYPE
--> PART NUMBER
--> QUANTITY (Please make sure you check the quantity column on the table. Only increments of those quantities listed will be accepted)
SPECIFICALLY, USE THIS EXACT FORMAT (YES, EVEN TYPE THE WORDS "CALIBER:", "WEIGHT / TYPE:", "PART NUMBER:", AND "QUANTITY:")
CALIBER: 9mm
WEIGHT / TYPE: 115 GR RN
PART NUMBER: 36002
QUANTITY: 3,000
*** ALSO, WHEN YOU DO SO, PM ME YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION: PREFERABLY BOTH A PHONE NUMBER AND AN EMAIL ADDRESS. A MAILING ADDRESS IS ALSO REQUIRED FOR MAIL ORDER FOLKS ***
GENERAL NOTES & WHEN IT'S TIME TO BUY:
- Pricing is listed on the attached pictures. Berry's has told me that these are to be considered fixed prices.
- If you look at the pictures (tables), there are (3) different prices. WE'RE GETTING THE DISTRIBUTOR PRICING!!! IF WE GET TO 400,000 BULLETS, WE'LL GET THE OEM PRICING!!!
- The prices do not include a freight charge. There will be (2) separate freight charges. First, there will be a freight charge to get the bullets from Berry's to my place which will equate to approximately $2.50 - $6 / 1000 bullets. Once we get the final order and everyone CONFIRMED (and prior to taking any money), I'll "freeze" everything and get a freight price from them. From there the freight charge will be pro-rated based on how much (weight) you've bought. The second freight charge will be how much it'll be to get it mailed to you. At this time I will admit that I haven't fully made a decision as to how to mail these out. I'll actually lean on all of you for some suggestions. PLEASE keep in mind that I'll be having to manage over 400,000 bullets here and am not making a nickel off of this. I know that the USPS flat rate boxes are quick and easy - and there's a post office right down the street from me. But, I will say that I am not comfortable packing an entire Medium or Large Flat Rate box FULL of bullets. They'll never make it to you having this much weight in them - regardless how they're packaged.
- For payment: The means of payment will be: personal check, cashier's check, or a postal money order. When it is time for payment (around 18 JUL when Berry's gets back to me with a freight charge) I'll be sending out an email to all with each person's total. From that point everyone will have 2 weeks to get their payment to me.
- On 14 JUL 2012 I am going to freeze everything. Then I'll contact Berry's and get a freight charge (generally speaking, figure on about $2.50 - $6 per 1000 bullets). I'll pro-rate your order based on specifically what you've purchased vs. the total weight and add this to your total. At that point there will be about a 2 week window to get your 1 time, 100% payment in full (no partial payments / lay aways...this isn't Wally World). If your money isn't in by this time your order will not be placed.
- We'll pick it up from the freight company and bring it home. Once here and sorted, we'll be packaging up the mail orders and getting them out.
