Check out this intense CQB training!... (Funny but scary)

I hate to say that anyone should not have a gun, but............................................

...and what exactly do you not like about my intro into the tactical shooting video market?

Seriously, as a professional committed to helping others achieve a superior level of training with firearms I shouldn't laugh, but geez, I just can't stop.

Wow, what do you say except that his neighbors are probably very polite to him.

Some of his "antics" (for lack of a better term) with his hands, like using the week hand to aim the gun seem a little strange but he is definately prepared to point shoot his gun on the move and continue fighting when the rounds are spent. Which is more than some of us could probably say.

Another thought is that it would seem like this guy is serious about self defense and making others aware of the 21 foot rule (by watching another of his vids). Just remember that there are probably some badguys doing the same type of training (live fire, airsoft, dry fire etc) to get the edge on us, they're just not making videos about it.

Other than making fun of the guy, what's the point?

Let's have some real critiques.

Negatives - sweeps self, absent or inadequate backstop,...

Positives - at least he's up off the couch and trying to learn to run the gun

He's got his head in the right place by practicing failure drills with snap caps sprinkled in. I like firing on the move and point-shooting. And real soon he's going to get his very own genuine gunshot wound, so when he gets tagged for real, he'll be ready for it!

Let's have some real critiques.

The point, in General Gun Discussions, is not much that I can see other than some light-hearted entertainment value. Were it in Strategies and Tactics I might be inclined to critique as follows:

1) Just because your heart is in the right place does not mean that you are doing the right thing. This video illustrates the true value of professional training regardless of how good you think you have become on your own.

2) Some of the tactics he is attempting without much success are very good tactics. They are simply being employed in a grossly negligent manner. Reiterates the need for training.

3) Shooting on the move is a good thing. Using appropriate techniques for movement is even better.

4) You can be completely right in your motives, i.e. shooting an attacker. You can also be completely wrong in your handling of the incident, i.e. punching and pistol whiping your target after ventilating it.

5) You should really only control one weapon at a time. Guns and swords are generally not deployed in unison.

6) Primacy is very real. The first way you learn and practice a skill is the way you will generally revert when lives are on the line. If your tactics are less than stellar, you can imagine what your results might be.

7) It is not the number of rounds you fire in practice. It is the quality of your practice that counts.

8) It is good to shoot from awkward positions. It is not good to induce them as a standard.

9) Shooting fast is not a substitute for fluid motions producing accurate fire.

10) There is much to be said for shooting with a buddy who can critique your shooting as you progress.

Why is he jabbing with a knife and he's weilding a gun that shoots.... I would not get close to something when I have a weapon that could do it from a distance. I think he should make like a 2 min long disclaimer DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME. Some idiots might try it.. DO NOT DO IT.

"Before I do anything I ask myself, 'Would an idiot do this' and if he would, I would not do that thing."

this guys a total dwight

LOL tactical arm flail. How about some defensive and then tactical pistol courses buddy

I saw him sweep himself at least three times with a loaded gun, finger on trigger. He might be at least training, but training the wrong way is a wrong way of training. If he ever gets into a fight and actually uses this I don't know the end result but if he survives and comes out alright then I guess he did fine. I like his sword vids, kinda stupid but I can not tell if he is being serious or not. Feels like the whole thing is satire

I just watched one of his vids where he physically grabs the slide of a 92fs and shoots it. Showing that you can stop the slide if you have to. I consider this to be the worst thing I have seen on youtube, in the description he says it was his first try.

The more I watch the more I can see him hurting himself of god forbid, an innocent.

Jesus, he cant even punch/slap with coordination.

ER nurse: "So, how did you shoot yourself again, sir?"

Video Dummy: "Well, I was fighting this paper bag see..."

Sounds like a psych evaluation would be shortly to follow!
