Scary but funny video

...but that smell, that Hoppe's smell in the morning...it smells like VICTORY!

well SOMEBODY had to do it.:neener:

Lighten up! It wasn't scary, it didn't portray gun owners in a bad light. So what if it gave the antis one more reason to hate us. I don't really care that her finger was on the trigger. These were just some of the comments I've read about this vid since it was posted.

IT WAS FUNNY. It was a joke. It was meant to be funny. I'm sure the husband didn't leave her with a loaded gun.

It seems like we've all become so worried about being higher road than the next guy that we've lost our sense of humor.

I'm sure the husband didn't leave her with a loaded gun.

ummm... you're... SURE?!? I'm not even "sure" when I pick up my own weapon on the chamber status (I am, but I check as if I didn't).

Aside from that, it was bad in that the lady will likely never even think about shooting a gun. She's likely scared of guns now, and that is just as bad as ignorant of them, although in different ways. Ignorance can get someone killed, but fear can get everyone else's rights taken away.

Youtube if full of scenes of idiots behaving recklessly and irresponsibly with firearms.

Here's the summary for most of them.

Not responsible.
Not funny.
Not High Road.

My only thought!

Had that been me, chances are the firearm would have been loaded and the wife would have returned fire.

I still wonder if it was staged. She is handling the gun in an awkward way. Like others pointed out, she was what looked like smelling it and just generally doing useless stuff with it. Kind of like she was pretending like she was cleaning it and checking function but didn't really know how, therefore killing time until her husband threw fireworks at her.

I'm imagining the husband saying "Hey Honey, will you pretend to play with this gun so I can make a funny video for the intrawebz?".:scrutiny:

I've seen that video a few times. I still can't tell if that's staged or real. If it's real, she's one of those people that's generally oblivious to things around her. Anyway, she appears to have a genuine curiosity in guns. The guy is a non-funny jerk for not teaching his wife about his guns, not taking her to the range, etc. Grown men who act like their 5 just don't make me laugh.

If I were the husband and my wife was so interested in guns, I wouldn't try to scare her. That guy was a fool.

I looked like she went oooooooh... when she saw a round chamber. Very dangerous. I'll admit, funny, but very dangerous, and makes us look bad. :(
