Does anyone know if these Chiappa "1873" single actions have the transfer bar safety that allows all 6 rounds to be carried safely? I can't find information searching or on their website's product description. anyone know? neat little 22/22wmr conversion for 150 bucks on sale has me intrigued.

edit: this is the pistol i'm talking about http://www.chiappafirearms.com/product/1517

As far as "entry-level" .22LR cowboy plinkers go, the Chiappa is regarded as a step below the Heritage Rough Rider on the quality pole. If you want the transfer bar, the HRR, with both cylinders, runs just a bit more, at around $215 or maybe a little less. It has a manual safety nub that rotates the transfer bar into place. With the safety off, however, it's a "five-shot-carry" gun, as far as safety recommendations go.

Heritage Arms still parrots the "lawyer line" of stating that the revolver should be carried with an empty chamber under the hammer (of course, the company actually states the gun should never be carried loaded except when in actual shooting, just like any other gun maker.)
