As I pointed out the majority of crime is gang related.
As far as the missing children, here is an interesting look from a veteran Chicago cop.

Most of these children are just by products of their parents poor parenting skills.
In regards to teh shootings the vast majority of these shootings are primarily gang related. In the article labeld "Boy Killed, father wounded..." the first thing that strikes me is that it is gang related and they started to attack whom they believe to be fellow gang members.
As far as the ariticle entitled "Girl missing in Englewood neighborhood" can we suspect that the original poster is more mature than the 12 year old girl in the article? Surely other states have high rates of kidnapping, which is still a possibility here in this article. But from the article it looks like she most likely is a runaway, especially with the fact that she left a note saying she wished to run away.
In your article about the Man shot outside club, well the police caught him and recovered the weapon.
The article about the man who fired at officers was about his outburst in court. It should also be noted that he was arrested for a "domestic dispute" and I doubt the original poster would be there trying to place him under arrest.
As far as the slain girl who went missing and her mourners, well that was 11 years ago. Surely in a state with better carry laws a girl has been found slain and murdered. She was 12 by the way. So I would have to ask even if we had a CCW law, would she have been able to carry a weapon? The same question for the 12 year old girl who ran away? Is she eligible to carry a weapon?
In Oakbrook and Skokie, which are not in Chicago but suburbs, people are free to own firearms. So the Chicago restrictions are a moot point. However it was a bank robbery and I will concede it happens here. But it also happens in states with CCW laws, right?
And the article about the missing West-side boy.... well if you read it you would see that the boy stayed at his friends house on December 11th (Friday) and he was "found" on December 12th (Saturday). He just did not tell his parents. So would the Chicago gun ban have stopped the boy from not reporting in to his parents and letting them worry as well as file a missing persons complaint?
For a realistic look at what is truly going on in Chicago I would suggest...

You will find a great deal of pro-gun postings in there. Not to mention the author and owner is a fan of CCW and hates Daley as much as many do here. He also evaluates and does not jump off to ridiculous conclusions.
By the way
Onward Allusion where are you from? I see Earth, but what state or country in particular?
