"Get the paddles honey, you may have to restart my heart!"

Check out this web site in the online version of the Chicago Tribune.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/featu...r14,1,7994227.story?coll=chi-leisuretempo-hed

It's in the Leisure section online and on the front page of the Tempo section of the dead tree version.

It's actually a fair story about the Knob Creek shoot by a woman writer from the Trib. She admits to having a good time and actually got all the facts right about permitting for select fire weapons.

Aside from one brief comment about the toungue in cheek bumper stickers and T-shirts it's overall an extermely fair and honest article. Perhaps the Tribune editorial board left for the weekend early.

I'm going to write and thank them for a very balanced article before the freakazoids come out from under their rocks and somehow equate these owners with the Chicago gang bangers.

Of course the editorial board is still in favor of the Illinois AWB. But this was a pleasant surprise.

Her examples of ugly politics were laughable. I've never been to Knob Creek, but generally, at any gun show you can find one idiot who wants to tell you about the best way to kill ragheads or how to keep negroes out of your neighborhood. Instead, she came up with these four shirts and/or stickers:

1. I traded a gun for my wife, ha ha!
Yeah, that's really ugly. What kind of horrible man makes a joke about breaking up with his wife? It's unheard of!

2. Vegetarian is an old Indian word for lousy hunter.
Is this ugly because it insults vegetarians, or Indians? Seriously, is that what passes for "ugly" in Chicago now? How about "Democrats are big silly-billies"?

3. Guns cause crime like spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.
Does she even know why O'Donnell's name is on that shirt, or does she think they just picked her at random and are just picking on her to be mean?

4. If you know how many guns you have, you need more.
Now, the guns are beautiful, she says, and the people who own them surprisingly civilized and nice--but it's ugly that they want to own a lot of guns.

Is it possible there were no serious racists at Knob Creek? Do they have a way of screening those guys out or something?

The racist were looking for a place called "Nob" creek and got lost on the way:neener:

Great news!!. But not the only, last year I read in the Wall Street Journal a very positive and accurate article about Knob Creek shoot in the Friday Weekend edition. Then again it was written by a freelance writer who judging by pass articles is pretty pro-gun.
