We are having a gun show in town this weekend. It's a Friday and Saturday show, instead of the usual Sat/Sun because of the holiday.
We seem to be cursed in this town, every good place that would host a gun show here has either been sold or shut down. We have finally had the local VFW hall host the show but it's considerably smaller and can't take that many vendors.
I went yesterday to see what they had. It's an RK show, we still pay $10 to get in, even though it's a smaller show. I think we actually have more private sellers than the bigger FFL stores, which is kind of nice.
Lots of junk, I saw a table with kids toys. It is Christmas after all. I could honestly tell my wife I was gift shopping. The kids table had a good selection of rubber duckies. When the kids get tired of them, they make good targets when you're shooting down by the creek.
Lots of .22 rifles and pistols. It seemed like everyone had Ruger SR22's on their tables. Quite a few older Taurus 9mm's, including a 908 and 909. All the used pistols were priced like new. a few tables had good selections of hard to find mags.
It wasn't as good as the bigger shows but at least we do still have shows in town. That's always a good thing.
