Can you put your foot on a SCAR?

Guys, if you cannot put your foot on the gun, then it is all vaporware. This is the gun industry and for decades the gun industry has been telling us poor beaten gun owners that they love us and promised guns never materialize.

If you cannot touch a gun, it does not exist.

Your points are very strong.

I think or rather hope that the SCAR will be an exception:

The gun is real, people have put their foot on both military selective fire and civilian semi-auto only versions. We are told we can't get one today because the military for whom it was designed are consuming all production, and that's entirely credible.

FN has a long history of selling to civilians; the oldest "bought new" gun in my family is my grandfather's 16 gauge Browning Auto-5 "Humpback" shotgun with FN markings from the '30s. And today they're taking quite a bit of heat for selling 5.7mm guns to us, and their response is working with Fiocchi at their new Ozark, MO plant to ensure a good supply of ammo.

Hmmm, could a President Obama or Hillary! make them an offer they can't refuse based on their US military contracts? Maybe (although I now think the election is McCain's to lose), but FN also knows the US civilian market is reliable and strong, which can't be said about the vagaries of government contracts....
