I'm using a Lee four hole turret press to load 9mm and at the end of a loading session tonight the "Powder thru expander die" made a grabby or slight jerking felling on the up movement to expand and throw a powder charge. The powder is dropped ok, but on the down stroke it seems the case is harder to withdraw form the die. I'm thinking the die might be getting dirty and would like to know if there is away to clean it. I've loaded about 2000 rds this summer of tumbled brass in it.

Dies and presses should be cleaned ,lubed ,and inspected every once in a while .Primer compound can build up and can present a danger. Lube from bullets can build up too.
