dumb question, do I need to have an order form notarized if I go to the CMP store at Camp Perry and buy a rifle in person?

THEMselves. So, I don't need to fiddle with a notary if I stop by the north store to buy the M1 carbines? Nifty. I did it once before with a Garand, but everything was notarized/etc then so I could get in their system, and I"m just a little nervous about doing it again. No, the notary signature is to witness that it is your signature. They can witness it theirselves.
I was sort of expecting a 3rd degree about what I was doing with the form, what I was buying, (*gasp* a rifle, by mail order?) along with some amount of anti-gun static. But, no joy -- they just checked my driver's license, watched me sign, then did their part. No sweat.

Just curious ... can a notary notarize his/her own papers?
