CMP Danish RG: Did you get one?

Hi,

I am interested in reports from anyone who got a Danish rack grade (minus wood?) from the CMP recently. What was the condition of your barrel?

I have heard that some of these are coming with like-new barrels.

I had a friend pick one up at Perry this year for me. The metal is in great shape, finish is 80%, barrel measured 2-2 with their gauges. I can't wait to get it into one of CMP's walnut stocks, winter project. Hopefully, this winter.

New barrels are $165 from CMP.

From what I've seen most of the Dane Rack less wood are pretty well beat and have hosed barrels. Very few are showing up with muzzles less than 3, which is already past any real meaningful accuracy potential. Anybody who gets one with a good barrel just used up their quota of luck for the month.
