I shot consistently high today, just off hand no bracing.
158gr Winchester LRN, 158gr Fiocchi JHP
It has been a while since I shot a DA revolver. My initial targets were awful. For a 38, the flatter trigger I felt like I was 'reaching for'.. that 1/4 inch of longer frame makes a huge difference in feel.
Settled in at 7 yards. Single action, pairs and double action rapid fire.
Best single and double action targets. I shot no +p ammo but I will.
Single action, 12 shots 7 yards LRN's.

Double action, 12 rounds, one went way high at 12, one at 5 o'clock

@Buckeye63 Galco speed scabbard hi ride is what I bought for my Magnum Carry, the Cobra fits it just fine.
Galco makes a Combat Master holster for the new Cobra. https://www.galcogunleather.com/combat-master-belt-holster_8_4_1063.html
I owned a Model 12 with a 4 inch barrel , once upon a time .. I don't remember how we parted .. But we did ..Brain fart , I guess ..The gold standard for defensive .38 Spl carry revolver is alloy framed S&W Model 12. Both Cobra and SP101 are too heavy.
Tell them it was the biggest POS you ever owned. I want one and those aren't easy to find.I owned a Model 12 with a 4 inch barrel , once upon a time .. I don't remember how we parted .. But we did ..Brain fart , I guess ..
According to whom? The gold standard for defensive .38 Spl carry revolver is alloy framed S&W Model 12.
Myth. A good holster/belt combination tames a few additional ounces no matter what the size of the gun. Some choose handguns because the "shootability" factor (especially with more hot-stepping ammo) trumps weight every time, at least in real life. Both Cobra and SP101 are too heavy

The GP 100 3" is 36 oz vs 23-25oz Colt.If you want a 6 shot 38 special, there aren’t many lighter in current production. The Charter, Kimber, and Taurus are only ~2 or 3 oz lighter at most. The only other one I can think of is the Taurus 856 UL, which uses an alloy frame and comes in around 16 oz I think.
The Colt Cobra is much lighter than the other common 6 shot 38s. Namely, K frames, L frames, and GP 100s.
