Commander vs Government 1911

Anyone here just flat out prefer a commander to a government size 1911 and use it for everything?

That's me. Most of the "duty" sized guns today are 4" (Glock, Sig, etc) I enjoy the look and the balance of the Commander sized guns, both full size frame and commander sized frames.

I like the Commander. There's no real practical difference in weight between the 5-inch and the steel-framed Combat Commander, but the balance is a bit better and...the real advantage is that the 3/4-inch reduction gets the pistol clear of the leather a bit faster and a little less prone to fouling the draw when stress and the need for speed are stirred into the mix.
