This came in at the store a couple days ago - went and got it picked up today. Changed out the A2 grip, as I hate that finger groove. Also, picked up the Magpul forward grip.

I bought some cheap Chinese rail covers on Amazon for like $5 for four pieces. Since the M&P quadrail is polymer, it's perfect. Not gonna pay almost $50 for four of the real Ergo ones.

As for the EOtech - I had this left over from the PS90 I recently sold. I went with a different optic on the AUG that replaced it. So, I figured I'd put it here. I know - overkill, since the optic is worth more than the gun. But cool, none-the-less. Pretty awesome for a 22, IMHO.

Nice. Have been tempted to get a .22 upper for mine. But I know how that works... Then I will need another lower, then maybe another caliber.

It is a sickness. :)

Congrats!

I really like the M&P15-22 I've heard really good things about them ever since they first came out.

I bet it's as fun to shoot as it looks! Now that .22 ammo is starting to make a return in my neck of the woods I might need to consider picking one up myself.

My club lets a squad of us shoot 22 rifles in the steel challenge. Several of us, shoot 15-22s in that match. It is big fun.

I have a weaver 1-3x on mine. It is a little slower than with an eotech. However, the scope is better for squirrels.

Well, I'm hoping to go try it out and sight in the eotech today. Should be fun

Ive had an M&P15-22 since last fall and it is just a blast to shoot . Big hit with the kids . Enjoy !

Well, I got to shoot it yesterday... Gun ran 100%!

I only put 100 rounds of minimags thru it, as I don't wanna use up all my 22 ammo in one trip. (I shot one of my Beretta 92's first)

I will say this - I have had zero interest in 22s before. I did not grow up with a parent teaching me. So, I never had much exposure to a 22. And, while I have a Browning Buckmark, it really bores me. I haven't shot it in like 4 years - and I've only saved it to help teach my son.

This is my first 22 rifle. And, wow, I am hooked. This thing is a lot of fun. Also being that it looks like an AR, I think that makes it even more fun for me. Plus, the EOtech cranks up my enjoyment level of the gun too.

I am very happy I bought it. I've flipped back and forth on selling the EOtech and buying a 2nd Mepro reflex sight with the triangle - like I have on my Steyr AUG. Just for consistency... But my son likes the EOtech more. And for a kid, I think it will be easier for him to aim, over using a triangle point. So, I'll probably keep it.

I had used a laser bore sighter before I left, so I was almost on target to begin with. Was very fast to zero the optic

No threaded barrel?? No flash hider??

Did you saw it off?

Put a suppressor on it and have twice the fun!

Haha, no, that's okay. I did shoot a suppressed 10-22 a few weeks ago. But, I am satisfied with this one.

The base model doesn't come with a flash hider. I had considered buying a barrel shroud for it - they make an adapter for ones with no flash hider already installed. There are some cool looking shrouds that look like suppressors. But why pay like $80 for that.

I'm satisfied with it. I do prefer the magpul stock - but once again, that is $75. I didn't wanna pay for the higher version. This does everything I want. As it is, the optic is worth more than the gun - but I had the EOtech already (that I wasn't using)

Damn you S&W, another satisfied shooter, and another person looking for rimfire ammo. ;)

(Shame you waited - .22 rifles are a ton of fun and are (were?) cheap to shoot. Glad you are enjoying your new rifle. :))

I have a spikes upper, which works very well, but I wish these were around when I bought the upper. I would have preferred to get the entire MP22, as I have heard nothing but good things about them. Good score.

I need one of these. I already have a few mags, purchased last year, and a TRS-25 on a UTG mount just waiting for the rifle.

Mine will have a threaded barrel though. There is definitely a Sparrow in my future.

I just picked up my second one this afternoon. I traded a used Ruger SR9 pistol for it,that I bought last week for $300.00. It has never been fired and the the guy let me have it with a scope and fore grip.
The other one I have had for three years. Love this gun.:)

I have the magpul one. It's had several 100 rds though it with no problems. Just the first of my tactical squirrel rifles. MP5SD clone was next. STG-22 will be the next one.

I put one of the Bushnell ACOG copies on the S&W and have a Ziess red dot on the sd.

Yes, thei stuff is cool. I really like the two magpul grips on the gun a lot (I put em on the gun)

I have a pair of those 15-22's...great fun. My son and I ran about 400 rounds through them yesterday, we both own full AR's, care to guess what 400 rounds of .223 would have cost us?
At the prices I've been paying lately about $250!
We had a great time for under $25 and stay familiar with the platform.:D
