Stole away to the range to test out a new .223 Rem load today.
Was having a good time and even shot my new personal best with iron sights, when one of the club officers comes by and says they need to close down the rifle range for a half hour or so for some exhibition over on one of the trap ranges.....
So I pack up to head home and decide to pop on over to see what's up
One of the Benelli exhibition shooters, a guy named Tim Bradley, was putting on a shotgun show.
I've popped a few clays in my time, but I've never seen anything like this.
This guy is hand tossing stacks of clays all over the place and nailing them all. From the shoulder, from the hip, shotgun upside down, switching from right to left handed in the middle of a stack.
He tossed up NINE clays! I was impressed just to see how high he could chuck those puppies, but then he blasted them all.
As a tribute to the troops, he tossed up and blasted jumbo red, white and blue side walk chalks and then popped a gallon jug of gas into quite the fire ball (and I was wondering why they had all those fire extinguishers on hand).
Let's just say it was thoroughly entertaining.
If you ever get a chance to check one of these out, you'll be glad you did.
