But if you go out into the "sticks" you will find that being out in the country isn't very country anymore either. My grandfather used to talk about there being four farmers per section, now there's four sections for farm. And a quarter of the people that are living out in the country would be hard-pressed to tell you what a section is. We don't have farmers anymore we have agribusinessmen. And the lowly moldboard plow pulled by a two cylinder tractor has been replaced by one pass planters pulled by million-dollar machines. The music has changed with the time.

Yep,i work on them green amd yellow ones for a living lol. Used to be two lunger's with a pony motor and a handclutch with now you got selfguided and ac cabs that are cooler than my pickup. Times have changed.

Eric Church is currently one of country musics biggest stars, which is why this is notable.

He keeps saying stuff like that, he'll join The Dixie Chicks in the $5 CD bin at Walmart real quick.I like some of his music, but I don't like when celebs dabble in politics beyond voting. Same goes for Springsteen, John Fogerty, and many others. Groups that support the troops, like Five Finger Death Punch, Toby Keith, Kelly Pickler, and actor Bryan Cranston, I like.

The Dixie Chicks' thoughtless comments, from what I remember, were made while they were in London UK.

That's when it hit me that they were not simply patriotic American "country/small town girls" (maybe they never were), but had decided to follow the Fashion of Appeasement while in a foreign country and in a sense, became apologists for being American.

A cpl trips down "the Crooked Road" dosen't a country singer make....

Just sayin, these "entertainers" have all the necessary ingredients except one, they're not living it,they're just acting it.This latest soap box publicist idea should come back to haunt him...... and he deserves it.
