CRKT M21 series

I've carried one and I liked it. I DO NOT like the "SF' since the "cross guard" is annoying as anything to use.

Amazon doesn't carry knockoffs, as a rule, so you should be able to buy with confidence.

I used to EDC an M16. Switched to an M21-4 about a year ago. The size takes some getting used to, and the blade is marginally slower to deploy due to the increased weight, but it's been a great knife. No complaints here.

One thing: the blade is just shy of 4", making it illegal to carry in many jurisdictions that restrict blade length. If such things concern you, the sub-3.5" M16 is probably a better choice.

I had a M21, got it as a giveaway gift, the nonserrated version. Really liked the big bell but the steel is not the best. It kept a decent edge during a hunting/skinning weekend but I preferred to use my Izula or Chris Reeve more.

The one thing I really disliked was the thin and narrow pocket clip. For such a heavy knife, you'd think CRKT could have put on a wider pocket clip. If you can get over that, then the M21 might be good for your needs. Not very ergonomic though, hand hurts after using it for a long time, especially in colder/wetter weather.
