I was looking at a CZ 527 lux in 223 as a good long/short range coyote gun. But i am also interested in the other models. What are the pros and cons of these rifles. If there is a con. Also what kind of accuracy can be expected from handloading and factory ammo.

If you get tired of waiting for replies, you could use the "Search" function, this subject comes up fairly often.

Otherwise, just wait and we'll do it for you again.

here is a couple of my targets with my 7.62 CZ527

The only downside to buying a CZ is that after owning one most other bolt guns will feel like crude implements afterwards

The major problem with the CZ 527 is accuracy. If the coyote gets away
after you shoot at him; then the fault is the shooter. Sub-inch groups at
100 yards leave no excuse for missed shots.

I've shot two 527's, both in 223. Both were incredibly accurate. I personally also love both the look and feel of the rifle.

krochus. I did a search on these guns and you said you were the biggest cz fan. i love these rifles to. i have a 452 bruno and a 7 mm rem mag custom winchester 70. i love the feel of the brno a hundred times more. CZ all the way.

CZ 527

I have a CZ 527 Kevlar and it will shoot 5 shot groups of .75 inch or less with 24.8 BL-C(2) behind a Hornady 68 grain OTM. This is with a Sightron II 3-12 scope.

It will also shoot Sierra 52 BTHP into less than an inch. This is a good thing as I have been given 30 lbs of these.:neener:

I have 4, and they are not only the most accurate of the factory rifles I have ever had, but they are beauts as well. Most guys I know will tell you that you get your money's worth and more, when you buy a cz Even their pistols are the same, wne to the range this weekend , a coworker had just bought a cz 40 cal. he asked me to cmoe over to chekc his pistol, to see if it was just him, or was it not shooting straight to sites. i picked it up, having never fired a .40, and put my first 3 shots in the 10 ring, on the 10 yard line. Told him, "it's you!"
if you wanna longer distance shooter , get the kevlar varmint, they have the faster twist, the 527, has a 1/12 twist, and you can only use up to 60 grainers.
Here is mine at 100 yds, 527 carbine.
