Someone offered me a CZ 75 B stainless steel high polished for $1050.
Pistol was never shot, but if I buy it, it will !

Have a CZ 75 Compact in 40 cal and love it, perfect fit, fantastic look and high quality. Did I mention it, also a sweet shooter.

My question is, is the price reasonable or not?
Appreciate y 'all's input, thanks.

Don't know where you're located, but the last one (bright stainless CZ-75B) I saw new on the counter in my (somewhat higher-priced) LGS was tagged at $739 (I remember well, as I gave considerable thought to buying it) -- this was about a year ago, so "pre-pandemic."

Yes, I think it's priced too high. Ultimately, it's still a "used" pistol.

But, they're gorgeous pistols, so if you really want it... "reasonable" these days is probably relative.

As mentioned, the price is high. Unfortunately, this is a bad time to be trying to buy guns and if you want something now, you may not be able to get something for a reasonable price. So you decide what you want to do. It's not a good deal, but it may be the best deal on that gun you'll be able to find for awhile.

Those that I saw early last year under $800 were gone fast, and I haven't seen another since. Is over a thou a good price, nope, but they are purdy and unavailable only you can decide if the wow of it is worth the coin.

Sign off the times.

That may be market value, which if you pay it will prove that.
I'm in the market for an fnx45 tactical.. current market value has it $300 over pressure shortage pricing and I've only seen 4 in the last month across considerable online searching. I've not bought yet but I'm willing to bet i buy one in the next six months... just don't know what the price will be when they get fair market price from me

How many mags come with it? At that price, it'd better be an awful @#$#@ lot of 'em.

That one is sure mighty sweet looking, especially with those grips but the price...not for me brother!

Yeah, and I thought $1050 is high !!!!!

Okay, thanks for all the replies, I really do like the shiny object, but not for $1050. Based on your answers, the next time I'll drive by the shop and he still has it, I will offer him cold, hard cash $850 and see what the gentleman says.
Luckily I am not in any hurry and actually do not need any more toys, but as most of us on this site, we do like them and collect them just as our wives collect shoes and bras.......

Consider yourself fortunate then. My wife is more into redecorating and the new furniture to go with it!

A lot more expensive than any shoes and fashion apparel and way more heavier to move around!

Keep in mind that the shiny and satin shiny have been discontinued. They will fetch a little more because of that, but it normally shouldn't be that much.

Sometimes I think I am a pica pica, looking for shiny things and place them in my nest...........

Joking aside, for mainly practical reasons I always prefer stainless, but nothing looks as good as a nice bluing with some pretty wooden grips!
And yes, as you stated, the CZ website reports that the shiny toys discontinued about 2 years ago, let's see how my planned negotiations will proceed and I'll let you know.

If it was a nice trip for the bike, I'd be going there more often, but unfortunately it's 80% Interstate on the deadliest roads in SC. Not even fun in a car.

when i bought my CZ 75B, (blued) i had that chance at that time, to buy either the polished SS or the satin (if that's what it was called), but i had said to the salesman, i wasn't out to impress anyone.

now, i wish i had bought all 3

the "blued one" cost me $ 535 (with tax) . back in February 2020....the satin finish was about $600 + tax, and the polished was about $700 +tax....

but i was new as well, and just wanted function over looks.

Why not buy a used one and send it to be hard chromed. Could do a 2 tone also.
Uh oh, now sorta want lol

Nice looking CZ! How did you go about polishing that?.
Thanks. The existing finish was in really bad shape when I bought it. Looked like it had been refinished over the old without proper surface prep. So I stripped it completely to bare metal and polished it.

how much $ damage are we talking about?
Went a few weeks ago to a local store (nice and honest guys) and asked about ceracoating. Was about 200, which is okay, but then I told them it was for a H&K P7. Went up to 300
Still okay, but when asking about any kind of guarantee that the expensive toy still works, they reconsidered, discussed the situation with their specialist regarding the availability for parts (in case something goes wrong) and we came to the conclusion that the P7 stays original.
