I am thinking of putting a MRD on my PCR. The holosun 407k fits the size of the slide good but has a pretty small window. For anyone that has used one are there any down fall to using one compared to a 407c or a Vortex Venom that have a bigger window which are the other ones I am considering.

The only dots I have on CZs right now are OR models. The larger holosun/rmr won't fit a CZ slide without a plate, I believe everyone uses the Trijicon 1911 plate.

The smaller holosun can be direct milled into slide.

I have 3 PCRs if and when one gets milled it will look like this.

I would choose between CGW, CZ custom and Impact Machine for mill work. I seriously doubt anyone has milled more CZs than CGW.

Thanks, I talked to CGW yesterday they are 3-4 months out on getting it done. I am just concerned if the small window size will be a problem seeing the dot and the smaller sight picture.

They make a 6 moa dot in the 407. I do wish holosun would move beyond that stupid Eotech style dot.

Scott over at Impact Machine was put part of CGW until a year or so branched out to focus more mill work.
He currently has Sig P220 getting milled and a pretty rare steel framed compact decocker getting hard chromed.

I like the circle and dot of the 507. Currently have a 507k sitting here that I am going to put in a 365XL and see if I like it before I have my PCR upper milled. Primary Machine is my front runner right now for having it milled.
