After reading numerous post about how nice a CZ feels, i finally went and held one. Now, I will be getting one. That pistol just plain points. Though the one I held was a decocker model and I would prefer the one with a safety.

Good choice Joe. I have a pair of Compacts and shoot them better than my 75Bs.

I have a nickle plated Compact.

Here it poses with my FN HiPower.

Pretty good, I'd say. Pretty good. I have a Bladetech Kydex holster that should be arriving this week to give me a better holster for carry.

The only problem I've had with it is that the left side grip screw broke off flush with the frame. The gunsmith ended up having to drill and tap for a larger screw on that side. I don't know whether CZ had cross threaded it or what...but I promptly replaced the other side screw with brand new screws from the Ghostholster/CZ custom shop...

Which one did you hold? There is an alloy-frame 75D compact (known as the PCR) with a decocker, and a steel-frame compact with a safety. If it was light and had a loaded chamber indicator you probably held a PCR. Unless the steel compact is now being made in a decocker version ...

I like my own PCR very much. It does fit my hand and point better than other DA/SA double-stack autos I've tried.

Is it a CZ 75D? PCR to most of us, I much prefer the sights and loaded chamber indicator on the PCR to the sights on the 75 Compact or P01. Glad the PCR is my first CZ, it is the first compact pistol I actually shoot as well as most of my full size guns.

I saw ONE CZ Compact with steel frame and decocker, sold it at the shop I worked at. Even CZ didn't know of it, one of the many "one-ofs" and special runs from years ago.
The Compact steel frame was my first CZ pistol, and I was sold ever after. You won't be dissapointed.

Literally just got home from the range for the first time with my new PCR. Put 200 rounds through it and it is already my favorite of the 7 hanguns I own, including my Belgian made Browning Hi-Power. Go over to the CZ forum and look up 'manofsteele69' in the classifieds section. He will hook you up...

In search of "my" perfect carry sidearm I have tried the S&W 3913 , S.A. Ultra Compact 9mm, Kimber Pro Carry 9mm and Glock 19. I got my PCR a couple of months ago and love it. The CZ 75 PCR just feels right, and most importantly is reliable and accurate. I like the de-cocker and that the pistol can be fired from the half cock position or thumbed back for a single action shot and then safely de-cocked again.
