There's some facts in your negatives. Yes, SA trigger take-up is long, but this is a DA/SA design. The same can be said for Sigs, as well as other DA/SA designs.

As others have stated, they can be found for not much more than a quality 1911 mag.
Trigger jobs on CZ's can be difficult, if not near impossible with the stock hammer. Ergo, the CZ comp hammer, problem solved for $60.00. There are quite a few custom items now including match barrels, sight options, triggers, grips, Wolf springs, stainless steel guide rods, etc. For such a "young" design, it's climbing the popularity ladder pretty quickly.
As pointed out, excessive dry firing was only an issue on the hollow roll pin guns. Sigs had the same problem in the past.
If it's not the best steel 9mm in the world, it's darn close.
