Dan wesson 1911

So I am thinking of doing some trading. Tell me about dan wesson 1911s.

-Are they value 1911s?
-Are they built well?
-thinking about a marksman anybody have one?

Dan Wessons are nice from what I've seen. I shot a Patriot once and it was very nice. Sorry I don't have better info for you but my experience with them is very limited. I believe CZ is the manufacturer of them these days.

I love DW revolvers.

I liked the early DW autos.

I have only had dealing with one CZ-DW and it holds the record of having the most problems I have ever seen in a factory produced pistol.

Look closely before you buy.

There are a few bummers out there, but if you get a good one it will be GREAT.

I have one of the first production run "Razorback" from DW.

As with many 1911 style pistols it had some teething issues, i sent it to a competent gunsmith - he did what he does best - now i have what i consider one of the best made and designed handguns ever made.

DW are a great value, on par with Springfield armory's 1911 basic models. Do a search function here and TFL and there are quite a few threads about these pistols. The 1911 forum has it's own portion dedicated to DW - along with other manufactures of differing 1911 pistols.

well never mind guys the deal fell though the guy wanted to much money on top of my gun plus all the stuff i have with it so I guess I am just stuck with a gun that nobody including me want.

What pistol are you trying to sell or trade? I see you have a Glock 17 and Beretta 92 from your sig line. I'm sure plenty of folks here would be interested in buying or trading for either one. Put up a post in the Buy/Sell/Trade Handguns section here and I'm sure someone will make a deal with ya that's reasonable to both parties.

It's the glock I have had it in the trading post for about 2 months now some offers but nothing I want I have had somethings I want but the buyers keep backing out after agreeing to trade.
