Lack of merchandise. Absolutely 0 .45acp or 9mm pistols of any kind in stock. Crazy to say the least.
Just give it a year or so. And the market will be flooded with cheap used pistols. That and actually be able to buy ammo.Lack of merchandise. Absolutely 0 .45acp or 9mm pistols of any kind in stock. Crazy to say the least.
Except that this may be the longest year in history for those who need a firearm and can't get one.Just give it a year or so.
So true but its life. There are plenty for sale local (ga). Some over priced. Alot of scammers. Jump on Armslist amd see whats around.Except that this may be the longest year in history for those who need a firearm and can't get one.
Let's hope. Depending on a variety of issues between now and next year, I think it's entirely possible it will be WORSE in a year.Just give it a year or so. And the market will be flooded with cheap used pistols. That and actually be able to buy ammo.
Historically, thats hows its usually gone, and hopefully, history repeats itself. I quit buyin right now, for that very reason. No sense paying a premium for something thats going to be cheap shorty down the road.Just give it a year or so. And the market will be flooded with cheap used pistols. That and actually be able to buy ammo.
Then again, theres really nothing left to panic over, so I guess, whats it matter?

No doubt covid and things like the BLM silliness have driven the panic, but we still have one thing to worry about here, and thats what goes on with the election. I dont think its really been a typical "gun people" (and we have always been our own worst enemies here) panic like before.

Im pretty sure this election is in the bag (knock on wood) and I fully understand not buying right now.
How would they do that?I also wonder if some of the panic is influenced by retailers.
How would they do that?
The demand is buyer driven and it always is, in everything.i probably shouldn't think out loud
Police retreat in Seattle? Riots in Chicago?
Scottsdale-based ammunition company Ammo Incorporated is facing an $80.1 million order backlog amid record demand for ammunition.
“We’re working right now seven days a week, 24 hours a day in all the manufacturing plants,” said CEO Fred Wagenhals.
Last panic it took my Wife at least a year to "hear about it" One day she comes in all in a panic over no .22 ammo. I said have you looked at what we have? About 10K. I said I still get it weekly, we are fine. Will she decides she needs to helpThats what gets me. These people buy nothing when its cheap. Sometimes 8-10 years of only having one box of ammo and they still don't run out. Then when the prices hits 10x they need a truck load.
Just to illustrate my point. Sadly My Dad even bought a brick or two last panic. Granted he bought it at a dunhams and paid their high but not inflated price. (A brick of golden bullets was 70 most places at that time. Dunhams always has it at 29.). My dad is still shooting the same 50 rd boxes of 22 ammo he bought for 25 cents way before i was born. In my 40 years he has fired off under 500 rounds total. All calibers combined. There was absolutely no need for him to buy during a panic. But he did because everyone else was and he had heard about it.
Sounds like you need to buy a gun that will work with itNONE of our .22's shoot worth a crap with it.
When these kind of panics start some things come back first. Guns of course are something its hard for people to keep stacking up. Ammo most can afford to stock up multiple cases, no problem. Not many can afford to buy even 100 guns just to sit on. So of course the guns will start to come back first.Strange how my local Academy had at least 10 semi auto handguns in the case Saturday. And not just budget stuff. There was a Glock 17,21,43,48 and a 19 gen 3. I almost bought the 48 but I don't need it as bad as somebody else right now. Either people are running out of money, everybody has what they need or they just quit looking in the most obvious places for guns.
Sound like an excellent time to sell it to the panicking hoard. She found someone selling that Federal 325 round bulk stuff (Not the Auto Match) no limit so she bought 7K of the damn stuff
It is worthless as ammo, makes good ballast. NONE of our .22's shoot worth a crap with it. Most of its still sitting in a closet.
