Bud's Gun Shop is listing the new Taurus G2 pistols as "Out of Stock" but at $358. Will this be the actual retail price for the G2? http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Taurus+G2&x=0&y=0

Bud's put up a advert for the gun, but the G2 is not out yet. It's not to be released for a while. The your guess is as good as mine approach is in play here.

looks like the big brother to my PT 709. will it have a similar trigger feel? i'd pick one up if it did :hmm:

Thats exactly what I was thinking too Harmon, only difference I can see is the trigger looks different from a Slim.

I'm very curious to handle one. I really love my 709 and think it has a great trigger. If I could pick up a big brother to it with a similar trigger for $358 + ffl fee, I'd be on that quicker than a frat guy to a party with free beer and topless sorority girls.

edit: it appears the safety is ambidextrous on this one, as it's on the right side of the gun. also, from the advertisement of the second strike capacity, i'm betting it's the same trigger.

i'm now excited.

I have been interested in the new G2 models since the 2010 Shot Show announcement.

The G2 models have ambi safety, slide release, mag release and loaded chamber indicator (BIG plus for left handed shooters). The trigger is SA/DA multi-strike.

I have really enjoyed my Mil Pro PT145 which also has the multi-strike trigger and looking forward to checking out the G2 models.

I will be keeping an eye out for them.

Well, G2 line is finally for sale and bud's link is now active with higher prices ($379-$390).

They are showing 10 round models but the G2 manual pdf on page 8 is showing the following warning:

DANGER THIS PISTOL IS CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED.

Darn, so no mag disconnect for California? Was really interested ... anyone know whether they'll make mag disconnect models for CA?

Looks like Bud's finally have all the G2 compact/fullsize models in stock for $379-$396 ($290 for compact stainless 40 model at VIP price) - http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Taurus+G2&x=0&y=0

They are showing both Single/Double and Double Action for trigger ... I am thinking perhaps SA/DA and DAO?

Also, I am seeing some discrepancies in the features listed to the models pictured so information on their website may be mixed up (like type of sights, trigger, weight, etc.).
