I have a bushmaster that I have mounted an Eotech 551 sight on and would like to have a magnifier with either flip mount or quick release mount but don't want to pay the several hundred dollars for the eotech brand magnifier. This is just my fun gun so it really doesn't matter if it is as tough as the real deal, but I also don't want to just throw money down the drain on a piece of crap clone either. Does anybody here have any experience with any of the eotech magnifier clones that are selling on ebay?

Thanks!

Larue Tactical makes this magnifier from an old Hensoldt tank sight or something. I have one on my AR as a placeholder for the day I can get the real thing. It's ok and well worth the $50.

The LaRue, as pictured in Mainsail's post (with mount) is about $180 IIRC. $50 for the scope, the rest for the mount.

It has very short eye relief but it works. The downside, as I understand it, is that the mount won't hold some of magnifier tubes so if you do upgrade you may end up selling the (very nice) mount.

The Larue LT-649 in the post above has a 30mm tube and will hold an Aimpoint without any issues but I think the older Eotech magnifiers are 34mm. You'd also have to figure out if you need the tall or short version for your application. Call Larue and they will be able to answer any questions you have.

Dynamic has an Eotech in a QD mount for $350 which isn't bad.

Why would you want to put K-mart tires on a Lamborgini? I have bought crap before and ended up with exactly what I paid for. I didn't work or had problems. Just my opinion , if you do it, do it first class.
