A red-dot sight is about the fastest, very accurate, sighting system, followed by a low-powered scope with multi-X. Iron sights of all kinds are slower because the sights aren't on the same focal plane as the quarry, which may also be moving.
For drivers, where shots are close, it's not a big problem, but standers need more range/accuracy. If I were a driver, I'd want a semi-auto shotgun with 000 buck, and hoping that the standers weren't using high-capacity semi-autos unless I trusted them completely. BTW, I don't trust anyone completely!
