Defensive shotgun decision

rbernie's comments are going to save me a lot of time, aggravation and wasted money in trying to use a shotgun like a rifle.

My go to SD shotgun is a Remington 11-87 with a cut down field barrel,field barrels have the compensated gas system and it will 100% reliably cycle everything from slugs to the cheapest of cheap wally world loads
I have pumps also but defiantly prefer the speed and ease of an auto

Although I have several choices, including a pump, my go to HD gun is a Benelli M2. I used it for a couple of years in 3 Gun and it's never failed.
