Was wondering if anyone could help with this Derringer. It belongs to a friend and I am trying to find out information about it. Its an under/over derringer in 22 short and its made in West Germany. It also has HY Hunter Inc Firearms and Automatic Derringer Model 1 marked on it. My guess is that its made by Rohm RG because of some of the proof markings and by the material its made out of (Zamak like Metal). Any information would be greatly appreciated.

From the intranet Google machine:

"Henry 'Hy' Hunter was the original proprietor of the American Weapons Corporation of Burbank CCA, but his name was often used on products and is frequently regarded as a brandname. The American Weapons Corporation vanished in the 1970's"
(shortly after the 1968 GCA outlawed importation of cheap pot-metal handguns)
"Hy Hunter Firearms Company Inc. of Hollywood and Burbank, California imported and distributed a wide variety of firearms. The Hy Hunter Frontier Six Shooter was a cheap Western style single action .22LR revolver that was manufactured in Germany by Rohm."
