Am I the only one old enough to remember the old High Standard Double Nine? Old west looking version of the Sentinel.
The new revolver from Diamondback is he spitting image plus an extra WMR cylinder. Sure wish I had both to compare side by side.
Same deal with three rifles, the Erma, the Iver Johnson and he Henry H001. I did compare those three and there is genetics at work.

No, my first handgun (sometime in the mid '60s) was a High Standard Sentinel. A few years, later I found out a buddy of mine had a High Standard Double Nine. :)

My brother bought one of the Diamondbacks. Huge dissapointment chould not have been more poorely made.

I noticed the similarity and suspected this new gun is mainly a copy of the old one.

I'm a geezer too and well remember the double nine. I packed one around for many a mile out in the sandhills under our caprock until I finally found the funds to move up to a single six. It was a pretty good gun for the money. I haven't seen one of the new company versions.

Well I liked the original a Bud had in the 1960’s in Jr. High. It shot OK in SA but you had to really want to shoot it and hopefully not to far in DA.

More recently my daughter has been shooting her GrandDad’s. She says about the same.

The new ones look like a good Idea, but with poor execution… likely to keep price attractive

Sure, I remember those western styled DA/SA nine shot .22s like the Hombre, High Sierra, Longhorn, Durango, Posse, Double Nine, Marshal, and my favorite, the Natchez which was blued with a white plastic birdshead grip!
