I just got a Lee Classic 4 hole turret press for handgun loading. What is the best way to store the turrets with the dies installed? I see lee sells a round 3 die storage box that might work but I have heard mixed reviews on them. Is that the best way to go or are there other options?

Those Lee round storage boxes work ok, but you have to turn the base upside down AND the top won't fit snug, so you'll always have to pick it up from the bottom.

I store mine in airtite plastic containers--no rust even after months or a year.
Get them at dollar store or grocery store.

I use the round Lee boxes the dies came in. They fit fine, lids don't always close all the way, but well enough for me.
Keeps them clean and organized, and just pop on the press.

I have a separate turret for each caliber and they store quite nicely in the round red plastic containers. They seem to make very nice dust covers and keep things organized.

I use a toolbox (15"x7"x7") which is just large enough to contain seven sets of reloading dies, mounted in their turrets inside their plastic storage cylinders, ready to plug into the press and use.

If you don't like the Lee containers, PVC pipe of the right size does pretty well.

The search function is your friend. It turned up this result when I plugged in "Lee" "Turret" "Storage"

Since you're located outside Austin, TX, humidity should be your main concern.
Nothing more aggravating than finding rust on a $200 set of dies.
Sweaty fingerprints are the worst culprit. All of my tooling gets wiped down with RIG or sprayed with Barricade.

I use the Lee round cases. To get the right fit to secure the lid, I used some electrical tape around the base and wrapped it around several times to snug things up. I can pick them up by the tops without a problem.

I like your set-up. I see a nipple, coupler, and 90 degree elbow. What did you put directly under the turret?

Cottage cheese style tubs work great and are free? You can get a nice set at walmart for under $20. Easy to store in a draw, box, shelf with no dust or rust.

Everything is 3/8 pipe thread.

You can get by cheaper by using a longer nipple and normal elbow. This is all that was available when I bought the parts.

Heavy-Duty Zip-Lock freezer bags are cheap & dust-proof?

+1. After zip locking them I store them in a rectangular "tupperware" type plastic box along with other items needed for that caliber. I one box per caliber. When I need to change to a new one I just grab the appropriate box and all my gear is there.

Made mine with 3" pvc. Dies fit perfectly and keeps the pin free from obstruction. Good dust cover as well. Dime store stick-on labels and paint to your favorite color.
Happy loading-----

Why buy or make anything? The best is free. Everything relating to that caliber is inside the can.
