i noticed that Cabelas and it’s evil twin have two models of the Sig Romeo5, a low mount and a high mount. The optic’s features appear to be the same in their ads.

There is a substantial difference in price between them, like $70. Anybody know why, i.e., are the actual guts different? Aside from the mounting height, any reason not to buy the less expensive one?

Thanks

Looks like the more expensive one comes with both high and low mounts. The lower priced one comes only with the high mount, which is AR-height. They should be the same internally. I have one mounted on an AR.

Thanks for the info. Seems like a relatively large difference in price for just the mount.

The lower priced high mount only one goes on sale tomorrow there for $100, which seems like a good price. Their ad says that model is exclusive to them.

There's like 4 models of Romeo5. Basic one is high mount only and uses a CR2032 battery. There is a Romeo5x that uses AAA battery. Also a "TREAD" model (CR2032) and Romeo5XDR that is uses AAA battery and has a circle-dot reticle.
