Reading some of the older posts has me giggling. Wikipedia as a source. Technical correct term or not, 6.5G and 6.8SPC are damn fine rounds. Besides, there are lots of shooters getting better ballistics from a 6.5G than a .308 between 600-1000yd with less bullet drop and more retained energy at those distances. Sure for 200-500 yard energy the .308 is a better weapon, but to suggest that 6.5G and 6.8SPC are not worthy is just silly.
The beauty of the 6.5G is that you can get .308 similar performance from a lighter AR15.
