1980s .357 SDB
2010s 2nd SD in .45 acp
After 200k plus rounds SD sent back in for major rebuild last year at Dillon's request.
Now back in service with no issues.
All 4-5 calls about problems over the years answered with professional advice and parts at NO CHARGE to solve issues.
Getting ready to order a 550 or 650 so I can automate a little to expand into some rifle cartridges (223 mostly). Thinking I may like the non auto index feature for rifle work.
For mass produced pistol cartridges, you can't beat the SDB!
Do I own other presses? Yes, one 1973 Lyman Spartan used last night to load some 44 mag. Still does great job, but redundancy boring and slow. Getting old I guess.

I did order the 650. Mounted it to the spot on my bench recently vacated by my LnL. Loaded about 4K 9mm on it already. Based on my experience, you can't compare the LnL to the 650. The 650 is to the LnL as the LnL is to the LoadMaster. Funny thing is, my LoadMaster is still set up on my bench for 45acp and the LnL is gone. The minor problems of the LoadMaster match its price point. The value of the LnL didn't match its price point or hype. Good press? Sure. But it's no 650.

I've got both a 650 and a LnL AP on the bench.

The Dillon is dedicated to loading .45 ACP 200 GR SWC. I do everything else on the Hornady. It's much easier, quicker and cheaper to change over the Hornady. A full toolhead for the Dillon to make quick changes get's expensive real quick.

Both presses make good ammo. The cost of each outfitted with a case feeder is comparable. The bushings on the Hornady are awesome!

9 out of 9 Dillon users love their Dillons, soon to be 10 with the 5th Hornady dissatisfied user.
Hum, did I follow your lead correctly?

All in fun, we all love our personal machines!

I have had an old Dillon RL 1050 that is set up for 45 ACP`s for many years. And never have had any problems with it at all, and even a klutz like me can make a bunch of quality 45 ACP Ammo with it in a very short time. I got it used but it was in very good condition along with a bunch of extra Dillon Accessories. At a price you wouldn't believe, the guy's wife that owned it wanted all his reloading equipment gone and she was the boss so I bought it. Every thing else I loading on a Single Stage RCBS

I don`t know what happened, so I will try to finish this. But at a Gun Show about a year ago I found a used SDB with with all the accessories to load 9mm & 40mm for $200. I bought it and the guy at Dillons Customer Service helped me with setting it up and replaced a few worn parts free of charge even thow I told them I bought it used and it is working just great. I like my SDB so much I am going to look at another used SDB with all the accessories to load 45LC & 44 MAG. ((( IMHO ))) DILLON makes outstanding reloading equipment and their CS department is just fantastic. THANKS DILLON.
