Discontinued powder

Does 4100/Enforcer (I believe they are the same powder) have similar flash to 2400? I really like the orange fireballs from a hearty serving of 2400!
To me it seems the same or maybe a little less flashy than 2400. Less than No.9 for sure.

I came up with a single pound of SR7625 as part of a lot. I've never used it, and can't seem to trade it off.

I suppose I'll have to find some way to use it.
The problem is, if I try it out and find some Super Boffo load, what do I do when it's burned up ?
If you have a 45 ACP. My most accurate load uses it and a swaged 200 SWC. It goes a long way.

Of the old ones, HS-7 will be the one I miss most. The new 2400 is close enough to the old one that I don’t have different load data between the two.

Absolutley not. 4100/Enforcer has virtually no flash or flame.
Crud. In that case, I guess I'll just keep using the big pile of Longshot I have, which seems close enough to 4100/Enforcer velocites for my needs. Although I'd bet, without having tried them, that they meter better.

I don't think 2400 is going anywhere even though it's been in continuous production for 90 years.
Well, if they make some, I think they can bet on selling all of it in a short time. That doesn't guarantee that the won't focus on other products, though, and leave us hanging.

I like to have a reasonable expectation that a propellant will be available before working up a load. That’s the primary reason I don’t use Alliant. Although I wish they’d sell 2400 to another manufacturer. It has been available for 90 years and then, unavailable. ATK announced more than once their focus is on ammunition, not canister powders. It looks like Vista hasn’t changed that priority.

I've had plenty of 2400 on hand for the last 12 years. I just buy it when it's available in large 8 lb containers. I think I still have about 5 lbs from the last purchase before the troubles started. I've never had a problem keeping enough on hand to load the two cartridges I use it for. Never could understand why people buy powder a pound at a time. It isn't hamburger and it needs no refrigeration.

If you like 2400 and you want some you can buy it here right now. I just put some in my cart and got a proceed. They must have a truck load of it.

Red flags should be going up. I don't see that they take credit cards, they have plenty of stock and the pricing is too good to be true. Hope you don't get burned.

I wouldn't use pricing as a tip off. Their prices were similar to what I have seen on legit sites, including the hazmat and shipping fees. Best to check the scam site list as others have said, even if the site you're viewing looks legit.

Does anyone have a good replacement for SR4759?

I have seen Accurate 5744 suggested.
