I'd like to query the HR forum regarding the Ruger 10/22. Specifically, conversion of the std mdl to a takedown. Around 2015 a company called Hunttown Arms developed a kit which replaced the V-block & the two Allen screws with a push button connect/disconnect device. The company went out of business in 2018. I know of the kit offered by AGP Arms but @ $225.00 + shipping, one might as well go a bit more & buy the Ruger factory takedown. I believe that Hunttown Arms kit was offered for $99.00. I'd like to know if any of the membership was fortunate enough to purchase one of the Hunttown kits & if so, what your assessment is of it.

I hadn’t seen that one but did play with one of the butler creek packer stocks once.

I did buy the Ruger version but will be honest it’s just another in the collection. If I want a compact rifle I grab by SBR 10-22 with a folder on it. It’s not only more compact but also always ready to fire with the click of the safety vs assemble, load, then fire.

You've got a nice collection there. My interest in the Hunttown kit lies mostly in curiosity. I'd like a clearer picture of exactly how the Hunttown Arms kit was designed, how it performed & if their design could be replicated.

I have both and I say don't bother unless it's critical that you have a 10/22 that can be halved and stowed for some reason.
If you get a 10/22 takedown and want to run an optic you will like need to mount the optic to the barrel to get consistent shots.
