Anyone have experience making your own nylon gear bags? I'd like to make a custom nylon case/bag for my carbine, but am not sure how to begin.

Anyone know any good resources for buying supplies such as nylon, fasteners, zippers etc.?

Good topic. I have looked into this as well but haven't acted on it yet.

I would like to make my own custom bags as well as a "drag-bag" to my own specifications... I look forward to seeing other's responses.

One thing to think about is how thick your sewing machine can sew. I don't know what the maximum thickness my wife's can sew.

I have seen buckles, web strap and other stuff at gun shows, Army/Navy surplus stores and at fabric stores.
