I have one on order right now thru my LGS - an M&P 15 FT. Trouble is, I've been waiting for 2 months now. Seems that Smith is pushing out the Sport model, but the flat top is not to be found around. Oh well, got 500 Lake City cases and much boolits, so I can load while I wait!

I have 1 DPMS AR15 and really want more.. But our funny european restrictions means that i will have to live with just another upper receiver. (Which are pretty hard to find too).

What i really-really need right now, is a DPMS LR-308 - im looking all over the EU market.

No but Might Buy

I have been considering the purchase of an AR-15.
If I do I'd want one without the TACKYCOOL extras. (This is an opinion poll and I'm very opinionated.) No folding stock, 1913 rail and such.
I'd be most likely to build one, than buy a factory one.

I own both AR & AK platforms.
Both have proven themselves sturdy, reliable and accurate well within Minute of Man out to 300 yards.

I dont have one, and didnt really LIKE the ones ive shot, but i do plan on purchasing one. If i dont like them why would i buy one? Weeellll, ive only used other peoples guns, and like a number of things Id like to have some real experience before blatantly swearing off of them.

I have two and am happy to see them in WalMart and Dick's now. Maybe everyone will own one some day.

I'm an AK47 guy, buy must admit a quality, well-maintained AR shooting quality ammo is a hard weapon to top, and even better than the AK when all these requirements are met. My former AR was a fine weapon.

For a while I stop buying them but the bug came back. I have few different caliber & I want more.

Yep------Have one, a S&W M&P 15 MOE. It has been an outstanding rifle so far (just 600 or so rounds down the tube) and it will run everything from cheap Brown Bear/Tula to the best target loads equally well.
It took me a long time to buy back into the 'black' rifle thing after I sold my early model Colt (no FA or shell defector). I finally made the move after a lot of research and study. The AR platform has changed so much over the last 20years that I actually felt overwhelmed with info. I finally made my choice and I have been a happy camper ever since.:)
Now----where are those catalogs with all the tacticool stuff I need-----LOL

20 in 5.56
4 in 6.8
5 in 7.62x51

IMO, if you're not shooting an AR, you're missing a great platform.

You do realize there are other platforms out there don't ya? :)

20???? Is that a typo???

My only AR at this point is in .458 SOCOM. I will probably get one in 5.56/.223 for a varmint gun at some point.

Yep. And I shoot those too! M1 Garand, M1A, AK, bolt guns, etc. I love 'em all.

I really need to get off my duff and start reloading. I keep putting it off.
