My 10/22 has a Shilen drop-in bull barrel and the stock is a black laminate thumb hole model. Shoots just fine....even the cheap Rem yellow bullets.

4 of them... A 10/22 fs ..a handbuilt scout..a heavy barrel bench rifle..and a sr22...like em all and each one has a different purpose...

I had a scope mounted on that 60SS before I owned it an hour.
so you're adding stuff to your Marlin
I don't see how you adding things to a Marlin (Remington-Marlin, or RemLin) is different from someone else adding things to a 10/22 - for example, when I get a new 10/22, I order Tech Sights, because the stock Ruger sights suck.

Yes, I have a stainless model.

I also have a Marlin 795. It's interesting to see the differences between the two.

Bought a deluxe model from a friend back in '86 for squirrel hunting. He sold it to me with several Ram-line high cap mags. and a magazine loader. So much fun and plenty accurate for hunting. Classy looking with the walnut stock and no barrel band. Only .22lr rifle I've ever owned and will almost certainly remain that way unless it breaks.

I've got two of them. I've had model 60 as well. Just didn't like them as well.
Wish I would have kept track of how many rounds I put through my oldest 10/22. It's 23 years old and took me through my childhood and teenage years when i shot it a LOT.

Wow, I never realized how many 10/22-haters there were out there. I always thought this was the closest thing to a universally loved firearm that could exist. I do not own one currently but greatly look forward to purchasing one in the near future. Especially looking for a good deal on a used one maybe with a messed up stock or something. Anyone looking to offload one?
