Mine has a VQ THM tension barrel, aluminum sleeve, compensator, Kidd trigger,Kidd operating rod,and Kidd extractor. Hogue rubber stock.

Have owned a bunch of .22's over the years and currently have two 10-22's, a Deluxe model and an International. They are a lot of fun for the money and both shoot pretty well. I prefer my Marlin 39A, but my sons love the Ruger's.

That's why they make chocolate and vanilla:)

Yep, in the "Liberty Training Rifle" setup for Appleseed...though I got it after attending my first one, and have yet to return to try and claim my patch with it.

Much as I like it, though - if I'm out for just some plinking, I generally reach for a .22 I have a much deeper attachment to, a Rossi pump-action left to me by my great-uncle.

Yep ... This one has gone through several different configurations but it's been this one for a dozen or so years.

It is my fun gun. Great for plinking and shooting steel plates at up to 150 yards. Hi cap mags turn it into a great winter gun. No need to reload mags in freezing weather. Gloves are nice. It will digest the cheapest of ammo too. Some is definitely sub standard on velocity. I call them piffers because they do not go bang they go "piff." Great little gun, sir.

I have 2 Ruger 10/22 rifles, both all weather. One stock the other has a bit of work done to It. They don't get shot much because I also own 2 CZ 452 rimfire's.

I bought one many years ago with the provision that my friendly local gun shop owner would buy it back when I got done playing as they are not legal for hunting in Pa. He said fine as long as I do not drop it off a mountain. A friend lusted after it so when his wife found out that it was going back home she gave me what I paid for it When my happy friend and I went shooting together I now lusted for it. I bought another used one for the same price and have been using it ever since. This one will never be for sale. The 10-22 is an institution and a great deal of fun to shoot. Great for ringing metal plates up to 150 yards. If it did not go ding you done missed son.

No, my 22lr semiauto is a Remington 552 that I've had for years and has served me well. My nephew has a 10/22 and likes it a lot. I've shot it extensively and agree that it's a nice 22.

I picked up my first one on Saturday. Good shooter. I even did well with stock iron sights.

I did get the BX25 as well. It worked well with yellow jackets, but jammed horribly with velocitor rounds. The stock magazine worked just fine.

Anyone else have BX25 issues?

My first was a target model, it now has a 17" Majestic aluminum bull barrel, a Promag Archangel stock and a 6x24 scope. This is the one we shoot pingpong balls off of golf tees at 350 feet.

The next one has a Dragunov style stock, a 6x24 scope and a Beyer custom 1:20 twist fluted and threaded aluminum bull barrel. This one was built to experiment with the smaller hypervelocity stuff and has been out well over 150 yards.

The last one is a stainless carbine with a BlackHawk Axiom stock and a 3x9 scope. This is my favorite walk in the woods rifle, it comes in at just over 5 pounds.

Haven't tried the BX25 yet, I run factory 10 rounders and Butler Creek steel lipped 25s. I use the clear ones because I like to know what I have left (my major gripe with the BX25 is you can't see it) and have been pretty happy with them. They feed well, but after thousands of rounds (I mean well lover 10,000) the plastic will stress fracture and they will cause feed problems. When they do just throw them out and replace them, they're only about $25- $30.

Bought a used 10/22 carbine almost three yrs ago, and will be picking up a 10/22 Take Down tomorrow for $300.00 at my LGS.

The BX-25 mag is AWESOME, solid and well made. My buddy had a Butler Creek and had feeding issues, but not when he used my BX-25.

why would I own a 10/22 when I can buy a Marlin???? However supplies are limited.....I will not buy a Remlin 22LR

Why not own BOTH a 10/22 and a Marlin .22LR?

I have a Ruger 10/22 Tactical with the heavy barrel and a Ruger 22 Charger.

I also own a Marlin Model 60 as well.

I've voted yes, even though I'm "between" 10/22's. They come and go as the desire to change / build evolves.I'm sure one will be in the safe again sometime soon.

I wish I had some RELIABLE mags that held more than 10 rounds.
Try the factory BX-25. Works great.

I own the Ruger BX-25 and the Butler Creek Steel Lips work very well too.

I do not know anything political about Bill Ruger but I do know that he has made some interesting, useful and dependable guns and the 10-22 is surely one of them. It is an institution in it's own right. Own only one at the time but owned another which I sold to a friend and then replaced it.

I've got the Carbine model and love it. Great inexpensive gun. It is very light compared to my LR308. I also did a home honed trigger job which improved my accuracy a lot.

I shoot the 10-22 in it's original configuration and with the Archangel stock. The Archangel is one of my "get kids interested" guns since they have seen assault rifles on their video games and think they are cool. It is an adequate plinker in both setups.

I love the Ruger 25 round mag. All of mine feed reliably. It has a cheap red dot.

The stock Winchester 77 tube-feed is my squirrel gun. 4x Bushnell scope
